I'm a founding AI engineer at Deduction. Before that, I spent about ten years in startups across the full spectrum: seed-stage bets, hypergrowth companies, and a couple of unicorns including Fetch and Gusto. My work has mostly lived at the intersection of data platform and AI: building the teams and systems that make data and AI products actually work in production.

These days that means AI harnesses, evals, AI platform infrastructure, and the unglamorous but necessary work of making AI systems reliable and cheap enough to ship. I write here about what I'm building, what I'm learning, and the occasional thing that surprised me.
